The Subtle Moment
weekly audio/video meditation meeting
Thursdays 18:00-19:30
Are you practicing meditation and looking to deepen your mind, body, and heart connection within a group?
You are warmly invited to join the online study circle with Madenn.
“The Subtle Moment” is a meditation session in three parts:
Qi Gong (Moving Meditation)
Calligraphy (Active Meditation)
Zazen (Sitting Meditation)
Meditation class
This meditation session is a dedicated space for presence, unity, and internal focus.
We meet weekly on Zoom, but keep technology as unobtrusive as possible.
Audio-only participation is possible to keep screen time low.
We learn how to regulate our nervous system and offer each other a space of harmony and silent resonance.
Session Structure (approx. 90+ minutes)
25 min — Qi Gong ( video & audio )
25 min — Calligraphy ( individual time )
25 min — Zazen ( audio )
Optional Tea Time — Integration: A relaxing closing space to drink tea, reflect, connect, and ask questions.
The Practice
Qi Gong: We begin each gathering with a guided Qi Gong sequence to ground the body and harmonize the breath.
Calligraphy: We trace or write a character, poem, or prayer inspired by a seasonal theme.
In this space, the creative practice is experienced in two ways:
As a Receptive Meditation: Being instead of performing
As an Offering: A quiet dedication of our focus and heart.
No specific faith or spiritual background is required—everyone is welcome. Prayers may be shared from various traditions. While the core practice centers on calligraphy or lettering from a model, this time is personal to you. You are warmly invited to explore the shared seasonal theme through your preferred creative medium—such as embodied movement, a tea ceremony, music, watercolor, sketching…
Zazen: Seated silent meditation in the Rinzai Zen tradition.
“The Subtle Moment” is about remembering our relationship to the sacred.
